Thanks to Phil and Doris Scott and many residents in the area who give their time and energy to volunteer at our Book Store.Their efforts mean so much to our community. Bravo! Photo by Pat Lynch.
We have soft and hardcover bestsellers, art books, cookbooks, children's books, coffee table books, videos, CDs, DVDs, books in series, magazines, and much more. The prices range from 50 cents to a few dollars so come and browse our stacks. Photos by Pat Lynch.
Friends have published two cookbooks, “Around The World-Around Our Town” (1986) and “Around The World-Around Our Town”(1998). The books are composed of recipes from local cooks in San Pedro and restaurants, which are mostly gone now. They are truly a piece of local history and if you are interested in purchasing them, they are on sale at the Friends Book Store at $8.00 or the two for $15.00. A true bargain and all the money raised goes toward supporting our programs at the Library.
