Part of the San Pedro Library Friends group mission is to grow our membership and fund raise to help fund children’s and young adult programs. One such event was the Stuffed Animal Sleep Over. Ednita, children’s librarian, stated, “Children were invited to participate in a “Stuffed Animal Sleepover” at the Library. Kids were told to bring one or two stuffed animals to spend the night in the library. Once at the library, children were greeted with craft stations, bedtime story books, and asked to contribute to a list of rules for the stuffed animals to follow over the course of the night. Rules included, “Have fun”, “Make a new friend”, and “No eating candy.” Once the library closed, the stuffed animals had the run of the library.  They enjoyed a pizza party, read stories to each other, and climbed among the stacks of books. They even played librarian, checked out books, and took rides on our book carts!”
As you can see from the pictures below, a fun time was had by all!
